This session covers basics of LGBTQ+ terminology, principles and practices of inclusion and special considerations for the LGBTQ+ community's housing needs, including best practices for organization policy and how staff can create affirming programs and services. Lilianna Angel Reyes of the Ruth Ellis Center, a trans Latina woman and public administration graduate of the University of Michigan Rackham Graduate School, has extensive history working with marginalized populations including people of color, women, LGBTQ communities and HIV positive communities. Her session is interactive and will provide you with action items to implement at your organization.
